Need help on spindle measurements.
I have a new set of dropped spindles laying here and because they are not marked I need to know whether they are for the 73-80 or 81-87 Rotors. From the FIRST machined surface the measurement is 4-3/4" out to the end and from the next 'step' out they measure 4-1/4" to the end. The Diameter of the surface wher the inner bearing sits is 1.250 and where the outer bearing sits they are .843 on OD. I believe these are for 81-87 'thin' rotors and will measure the same as any 81-87 stock spindle so if you have your old ones laying measure those for me please.
They did offer the thicker 73-80 style rotors as some sort of option on the 81- trucks but I don't know the RPO code . I'm getting set for a big spring cleanout here and like to advertise honestly. . thanx , DAVE

Dave I can't help you on the spindles. Just so you know the difference in the spindles is not quit that year specific. My 82 Blazer came with the HD (1.25") brakes, and so did my 77....

yep, I know, as explained, but if two or three people say that have their stock ones laying and measure them i can get an idea. most 1981's have 1980 back suspension parts on them also. thing is if someone with say stock 77:-) were to say that theirs are longer spindles than i know for sure that they are for the skinny rotors.
