BINGO!
Same old gearbox. Same old hose. Same old fitting, check valve or whatever. Newer pump. Worked like a champ for me. Like I said before, these are just a few things that I wish I would've known when I started the serp. project. It would've saved some trips to the junkyard. Later, Brad p.s. If anyone knows anything about trannys (I don't), please check the "engine & drivetrain" board. I've got a prob with a TH-350 I need solved ASAP.

Z28 Steering Box
Sachmo - I don't think you can use the Z28 box on the truck. Trucks mount on the outside of the frame and Camaro/Firebird mount on the inside. The bolts are on the wrong side of the casting I believe. If somebody knows differently let me know as I would like a quicker box.
Thanks - Bob

If you have both styles of power steering hose, you can change either end by cutting the metal end in a straight section and put the two together with a steel (not brass) compression fitting, or union. The steel fittings are rated for high pressure, the brass ones are made for copper tubing. You can also run an A/C compressor without it being functional as only the pulley turns until the clutch is engaged. Frank
