72 ex-cab pics
here the pics I promised you guys a while back. This is a truck that my brother is building for a customer. It has been a long process, but i think the end result is worth it. The truck is now in the final assembly stages. Wheels and tires are on the way also. These pics dont do much for that color, it is actually much brighter.

That looks real smooth. Was it one of those extended cab trucks originally built by a coach company for GM or did your brother stretch this one himself?

Extended Cab
IMO one of the best looking/well designed extendeds around. Side window lines flow with the rest of the lines and fit the contours quite good.
Great job.

Great job of extending the cab without loosing the style of our trucks. BTW, your post says '72, but the grill looks like a '69-'70. My truck is just the opposite, '69 with a '71 grill.

Sweet truck! I like the use of Burb doors. Best looking "roof line" of any extended cab I've ever seen. What else is in store for this truck? 20" wheels? Air ride? Keep us posted.

That has to be the best extended cab conversion I have ever seen. If GM were to have made a extended cab I don't think it would have looked any better.

NICE! Squaring up the door posts makes all the difference between an ok looking x-cab and a beautiful one. Really nice shave job too.

This is a repeat of what everyone said so far.
Nice truck. The extended part looks factory and not as an "add-on" like most of them. The side window flows well with the rest of the truck. Cool. Mike

That's the best extended cab job I have seen yet to date. Excellent job of carrying the window lines over to the extd panel. Tell your brother nice work.

That chevelle belongs to my brother. He has had it for probably 15 years, It is a '70 SS 396. He recently dropped in a fresh 396 and TH400. It is a tire frying machine. he has almost every part that he needs to do the complete restoration just sitting in his attic.(all brand new). I guess that is what happens when you spend all of your spare time building cars for other people.

That is awsome work. What did he do with the frame. Is it lengthed or did he use a long wheel base frame and just put a short box on it?

quick question, is the rear axle farther up than on stock trucks? The wheels look a bit off-center on the rears...
anyway, gorgeous truck
