Can a frame be repaired?!?!

OK.....I was in a wreck last year and my frame got F'd in the wreck.....I hit a truck with his ball hitch sticking from his rear about 1 1/2 feet..made my bumper into a "v" on the drivers side... all I took was frame damage.....but the issue I have is the front part of the frame is hosed.....it this worth repairing and can it be repaired?...I really don't wanna mess with a frame transfer....but I'm thinking a rolling chassis might be the best option for me.....but finding one here in Utah is going to be a *****.

I guess it depends on the extent of the damage. IMO, if a frame is bent too badly, it will NEVER be the same, Unless you can get it straightened on the high end frame jigs.
Even then, I wouldn't be entirely convinced.
I bought a rolling chassis and went from there. They can be had for $150 and up depends on your area and availability

If it is bent between the suspension crossmember and the bumper its' no big deal for a body shop to either straighten or replace the bent frame rail. I had that done on a 66 I crashed years ago. More than that and a replcement frame is probably better. Pickups seem to bend in all kinds of crazy ways when they get hit very hard.

chain one side of the frame rear the front to a tree, and the other to a
BMF dulley or Rig and stomp on the gas! A big come a long would work too
on another tree!

Yeh it can be repaired...
just remember it bent being "Cold" - don't heat the hell out of it to bend it back...that will ruin the structral integrity of the steel. you can heat it..but don't get it glowing red.


where is it bent?
got a picture?
how far back? - past the first crossmember (the one that is riveted) or in front of that

-port-o-power
-come-a-long
-buddy with a frame machine
-cut the bent piece of and weld a new "old" one on..then back the weld joint with a steel plate
