making the swap

I am swapping my 67 lwb 8 lug truck over to a 72 lwb 5 lug disk brake frame. Has anyone done this before? Is there anything i need to know. If anyone has done this before I would really like some advice.

Also I am going to use all new body mounts where would you suggest to get them?

I've been buying my cab mounts at the GM dealer, but lately, I've noticed the board vendors sell aftermarket mount sets for about the same price, but they also include the new bolts and washers, which GM doesn't. It's been my experience that the bolts will be pretty rusty and need replacing, and no hardware store anyhwhere has them that long, so the aftermarket mount sets are the way to go now.

order the mounts for the 1/2 ton frame(if that is what you are using). the 4wd, or 3/4 2wd have a heavier rear cab cushion.....other than that, it should be pretty much a direct bolt on swap......best of luck, 69L
