dana 60 gears

I need a lower set of gears for the dana 60 in my longhorn.It has 4.10 gears now and i would like to find somthing way lower to get better gas mileage.Any suggustions or a ratio that we should use in it?any place to get the gears at?The truck is a 350 with a th350 trans and we are running 265/75-r16 tires on it.Thanks crystal

They have 3.54s made just for that. Will cost you the gears and a new carrier though.

nope, your current carrier will work. the split is 4.10 and down, and 4.56 and up. just need the gears.

EDIT: I'm not sure if I'm reading your question right...lower gears would be 4.56's. But I don't see how that would get better mpg (except in town). If you want 4.56's, you need a new carrier.
If you want higher gears, you are good to go on the carrier.

1969 GMC, she means lower number or a higher gear ratio. Crystal, IMO you should run at least 308's with your present set-up. The truck will most likely put the speedo needle in the p of the MPH at wide open, Gas mileage will improve.

big block c20s came with 3.54 rear gears in the dana 60s.

1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX
1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears
1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now.....
1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
