Valve cover question???????
I am thinking of buying some valve covers from a board member, and have a question or 2 about them. They are tall valve covers and was wondering what to bolt them down with? Also they have one hole in each side and my stock ones have both oil fill and pcv valve hole in passenger side, can oil be added to driver side or should I just move the pcv valve over to the driver side. Or will I even need the pcv valve with a breather cap? Thanks

Tall or short, the VC's will bolt down the same way for both. "Tall" just means the covers themselves are taller (to clear modified valvetrains). I would put the PCV valve on the drivers side, and use the breather on the pass side as a oil fill location.

Jeff,
Not to hijack the thread, But I have a breather on pass side and pcv on drivers. The breather looks oily and I think its dripping. Do they need to be replaced?? Its a new PCV too

i've had 3 vehicles with chrome valve covers. i've always put the pcv valve on the driver's side and the chrome baffle breather on the passenger side. on all of them the chrome breather always eventually will become clogged with oil fumes and begin to leak alittle. you can either just clean it out or replace it. the foam filter inside it just eventually cliogs up with the fumes from the oil.
