Is this stock?
Is the steering wheel below stock to a 91 K5?
I know it's an odd question, but I thought those came with a different design.

That's the 78-87 wheel. Pretty sure 88 or 89 went to a four-spoke.

91 was still the old body isn't it? I think they had the older wheel also.

The 4-spoke started in '89 on Silverado and SLE models. Lesser models got the deluxe 2-spoke (shown), or the base 2-spoke (wider horn button and no fake stitching.)

I'm only asking because I finally was able to replace the 90 Silverado Blazer I has a year and a half ago that got totalled when I let a friend borrow it (last time I do that). The one I just bought is a 91 Silverado with all the options including power mirrors. Just can't figure out why anyone would replace the steering wheel with an older one?

It may be stock.
My 89 has a 4-spoke but I think somebody switched the column. Ask around at Colorado K5. They'll know for sure. http://coloradok5.com/forums/index.php

They may have just done a complete column swap and didn't want to mess with the wheel. Or maybe they didn't have a steering wheel puller. Looks like my 87. |

You know, that makes sense now, because it also has a column lock, something I have never seen before but it apparently very common in detroit. It locks the gear shift and the wheel. You can see it on top in the first picture.

That is a very nice, clean 91. I also have a 91 fullsize, and mine is in just as good of shape. But I think mine was wrecked and redone. Oh well, I still love it.

Thank you, but looks can be deceiving.
It needs major floor/rust repair. The person who attempted to do it riveted everything in and use bondo as glue. But that's where all the fun is, and gives me a chance to use my new plasma cutter.
