question about running power to the doors..
Hi All,
I am just about ready to paint my cab, and I wanted to cut the holes needed to run wiring to the power windows. I know that I am going to be cutting a hole in the door and one in the cab door pilar. Just wondering what those before me have done, what did you use to cover the wiring in the door jambs, (rubber boot/tube). Anyone have pictures? Just does not seem to be much room after closing the door. I am not interested in the contact style connection. Thanks.. |

I know on my 98 Toyota Tacoma it's got a nice accordian style boot roughly an inch in diameter, that all the wires run through, it just pops into two holes in the sheetmetal. Would be very easy to duplicate, and I am guessing pretty cheap, also sooks very clean. Try calling a dealership to get a price on the boot, see if it works for you.

This is what I've seen done. I think this thread should answer your question perfectly, it even gives the correct part number to order:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...7&postcount=10 I was looking at doing power one-piece windows (seeing what is involved) and bumped into that thread yesterday.
