Someone on this board hooked up a towbar to the front bumper bolts thru the frame or L-bracket off the front frame horns. Need a towing lighting system then, though. Cheap, if you have, or can borrow, the needed stuff.

I am leaning towards a car dolly and trailer light set. Because I can rent all of that stuff pretty easilt around here. If I can figure out how to load a non running 3500 lb truck onto the dolly.

Thanks for the pic. That's a good looking truck. Maybe someday...
I am keeping an eye open here in Austin for cool trucks. Saw a white 71 fleetside, yesterday by the Arboretum.

Of course it is a good looking truck. It has the GMC grill gracing the front end.
As far as loading the non running truck on the dolly, how about a come-a-long. Borrow one from a friend or perhaps Harbor Freight can help you out for a reasonable price.

Mom always said we were too much alike. I have two 10K comealongs sitting in the garage, that I was planning on using anyways, to pull it onto a car trailer. I think it would work for a car dolly, too.
