New member/life line while I'm abroad/C20 for sale
I just wanted to hop on and let you know that this message board has been keeping my passion of 1967-1972 Chevys alive while I've been living abroad for the last year. I have a 1972 K5 and a 1968 C20 Suburban but they are stored back home in Atlanta while I live here in London (hope to get back in a few months). Both trucks are daily driver/resto projects and I can't wait to get back to the States to work on them and get behind the wheel!
I am looking to sell the '68 C20 to have some extra cash to finish my K5 (I realize that you guys are focused on Blazers, but I would love it to go to someone who would complete the needed minor mods). It is a great daily driver and family camping hauler. I drove it for 2 years prior to making the move across the Pond. Just before I left, the fuel pump packed up, and there was a vacuum leak between the master cylinder and the booster (rough idle and sucking noise). The flexplate also is missing some teeth so it takes a couple of trys for the starter (NEW) to catch and turn it over, but it will fly! I ran out of time to repair them and just stored it as is. There is minimual rust (back rear rockers and light in the door rockers), but the rest of the body is CLEAN and STRAIGHT. It had a 396/TH400 but the former owner replaced it with a 402BB and used it to haul his stock car to the track. The front has been updated with disc breaks and a booster. All the front and rear air is there but needs recharging and it is all white w/ black intereior. I am asking $3,500.00 firm and have family back in Atlanta who can show it. I will be glad to send photos to your email address if anyone is interested. Well, that's all for now. It's great to be on the Board! Mac 1972 K5 Blazer 1968 C20 Suburban |

Welcome to the board from PA. Sounds like a nice burb, What are your plans for the K5? And when are you heading back to start them?

Why I'm in London/C20 Subby (SOLD)!
Thanks for the welcome guys.
I am here in London working with American college students who come here to study abroad. Back in the State (God, I miss the USA so bad!) I am/was a college Dean. Just have to get a job back in Atlanta and I'm there for good! My father-in-law called yesterday and someone snatched up the C20 (I had it advertised locally there as well), so now I can focus on my K5's restoration. Once I get a chance to figure out how to reduce the size of my photos, I will post some on the board(both trucks) . Cheer! Mac '72 K5 Blazer (only) |
