My next project

My dad has a 58 Apache, that he got about 10 years ago with the intention of fixing it up,well It has maybe 5-6 hours of work done to it in those 10 years. I am wanting to get a 55-57 because i like the front end better namely having only the single headlights and the nicer grill. Would it be any trouble to put fenders and grill from a 55-57 onto a 58? Doesnt seem like it would be,just thought I would ask. Also the bed is in bad condition, and I am thinking of takeing a mid-90s Stepside Chevy/Gmc bed and putting that on for a differnt look.

It requires some work but people do it.
