Met Two More Members

Had a great day today. Met two more board members, "joesjunk" from Independence, Mo and "1972chevy4x4" from Wichita. Joe bought a truck from "72chevy" and bought a steel bed floor from me. With the help of my brother-in-law, "old wagon" on the 73-87 board, he and I loaded the steel bed floor and delivered it to Joe as he was picking up his latest acquisition. Also met with a friend of Joe's (Dan) who came with him to assist in loading the truck.

Had a good time talking trucks and getting to know each other a little better. Loaded up the truck on Joe's car trailer and placed the steel bed floor on top the bed. Made a good load with the extra doors, tailgate, tires/wheels, driveshafts, front grill, etc. inside the bed under the floor.

After we left Wichita my brother-in-law and I went to work at my place on his '80 GMC 4x4 getting the rusted cab ready to pull. Still have couple things to do but made some progress which is good. Even found time to put down a couple cold ones which is not unusual when he and I get together.

Added two more members to the list of those from the board I have met. Always nice to meet members and "talk trucks".

What a day I had!! It was great meeting all of you guys today!! Sorry we had to rush off so soon, but we were meeting my friends parents and they were getting ready to leave. The floor rode just fine. I pulled in the drive here at 7:20pm and parked the truck and got in my Jeep and went to dinner with my family at 7:45pm!!! I will try to post a pic tomorrow.
Gary, thanks again for bringing the bed floor up to Dan's house.

Hey LB, I am hanging my head low for my inexcuseable actions of meeting board members and popping a tab as I did. I promise that I will provide the first AND the second round at the Winfield show. Have it marked on the date, June 26th Sunday.

Joe, good to hear to made it home with everything intact. How many offers did you receive for the '72 4x4? Looks like a very good project base to go from. Good luck with it.

The doors are not too bad, but I wouldn't want to ship them. Thanks for asking though.
