I had the same problem with My 65 when I purchased it. I took a pull hammer and started pulling right in the upper indentions of the dent in the door, To my amazement after I worked down about an inche the dent sprung out. I hammer and dollied out the small indentions and smoothed it out with filler and no more dent.

that sounds good, but right now the door only opens about half way. it seem that the door was opened and (the a$$h@le i sold it to) back up and hit the door and bent it past the stop point.

also if i wanted to get a juckyard door how much do they run?

Around here i've seen them low as $50ish all the way up to $150 a door.

The reason the door will only open half way now (as you know) is because the edge is not recessing inside the fender, rather it is hitting the outside which will cause more damage to the fender as well as the door. I faced the same dilema. Like you my dirst thought was to find a new door. So I had nothing to lose when I started to try to repair mine. As I stated before. Once I popped the dent out the door once again cleared the fender allowing it to open fully. It looks like from th epicture that your fender has been buckled in also. You might have to work it out also. Your right in that the easiest fix is just to replace both. Down here in Bama I found that to be very expensive. Therefore, being that I was in no hurry I took the cheaper option. Turned out good and I definately do not confess to be a body man. Try it sounds like you have nothing to lose.

i truning my truck in to a prerunner so i don't really care if there is a dent or two. i just want the door to open the way it did.
