The drums on mine do not have any springs around them. The noise only starts up after I get up to around 15 mph. It does not matter if I am on the gas or coasting. Only after reaching a certain speed. It is not a constant whine but more like a pulsing sound. I have never messed with the posi rear but I will open it up and see what it looks like.
