Some pics of my 71 4x4

I haven't cleaned this thing GOOD for a long time. Got it all waxed up today. I haven't ever taken any good pics of it before. The paint is original. I have added tilt, tach, am/fm, skid plate, and tow hooks. The original owner had the top painted a texture black to look like a vinyl top. I hate the top!! Has some rust, but not too bad. Some day I will redo the body and two tone it orange and white.

Ok I'm officially extremely jealous. My shortstep is 2 wheel drive, rusted and primered, yours is 4x4, nice paint with just a little rust. I have a 81 Z28, you have my ultimate Camaro, a 69. I'm not even in the same league as you.

Thanks guys!! My Mom and Dad ordered that Camaro new in November of 1968. They then sold it in 1973. In 1991 a friend told me about a Camaro that looked like the old pics I have of the car. It was for sale. I wasn't even looking for a Camaro, nor did I really have the money for one ( I was only 21 in 1991) I looked at it at a small car show that night and the more I looked the more I thought it was JUST like Dad's old car. I wrote down the VIn #'s and checked them with our insurance company (they had the old paper's from when the car was new! ) Well, sure enough, it was our old car!!! Well, after some begging at my local bank, I got a loan and bought the car!! It should never leave the family again!!

That is a cool history of the camero, I'd love to own a first gen. some day, but I guess will have to see what happens down the road.
