CAS Radio--nice radio for the $$$$
I don't want to rehash all of the old criticisms of the CAS radios. This is just a pic to show you how nice it looks in our trucks...and it fits.
These are good radios that look great in our trucks. I used the chrome behind-the-knob rings off an old AM radio, because it looked even better. They play just fine. They are not for the guy that wants huge amps/speakers/CDs and mass power. I like to run them with the in dash dual cone stereo speaker and sometimes the kick panels, for easy installation and not cutting the trucks up. This one has been running in my truck for over five years and I have a lot of customers running them. Simple to install & operate, look good and I sell them for under $200. Note: the chrome ashtray really helps the looks of our dash when placed in between CAS radio & chrome heater control. |

FRANK... I THINK THEY ARE GREAT RADIOS FOR THE MONEY TOO. I'VE HAD THEM IN A COUPLE OF TRUCKS, & WOULDN'T HESITATE TO USE EM IN THE FUTURE. I GUESS I'M SHOWING MY AGE A LITTLE, BUT I'M NOT ONE OF THE YOUNG GUYS THAT LIKES TO SET OFF CAR ALARMS, BY DRIVING BY WITH MY THUMPIN RADIO. JOHN

Are these the tape deck models? Is there a such thing as AM/FM ONLY?

I also have the USA-6. Looks good and sounds just fine, great for not having to hack up the dash. The only problem i have had is the lights quit working within the first five minutes of listening. The volume knob was messed up as well, kept adjusting balance instead of volume. When i went to pull the knob off to take the deck out, it just pulled the whole shaft out. I sent it in to be fixed, waiting to see if it gets back fixed. Other than that, its way better than just AM. I'd buy another one (broken or not) before i would hack up the dash.

They have CD changer
I run the AM/FM version in my truck. No tape deck, but it is a head unit for their 6 disk CD changer. I haven't invested in the changer yet, if anybody can comment on it, that would be great. The radio works alright, but it's got the worst range of my 3 vehicles and none of them have fancy radios.
