Will it Work?Full Soft Top/90 Blazer
Would I be able to fiy a full soft top on a later Blazer if I gut the top off?Do they just snap-on over the windshield like 69-72s?I can take care of any body-mods/sheetmetal work.Has anyone done this?I always thought to graft an earlier w/s frame and I know guys are doing this. But,they`re hard to come by.

There is a guy on colorado k5 that did the used a 73-75 soft top on his 80's blazer. It looked like a 73-75 with a soft top so s I would say go for it.

I guess the top comes to meet the door glass when frame is eliminated.Other than the frame, doors appear the same.Always wanted to get my hands on a`73-75 windshield frame. It would save finishing-off over windshield and I guess then you could use hardtop. That doesn`t matter so much now.Just want to go with soft top/no top.

my 77 was cut and a 73 windshield frame was put in. It doesn't look like it was bad to do. I bought a new set of doors, and we cut them. That wasn't really too bad. The top does meet the windows on a hardtop. My top wasn't the quality I was looking for, so I decided my Blazer will end up kinda like a roadster. Other than the doors and splicing teh windshield frame, the only other thing to do would be to cover the front of teh quarter panels where the top used to reside. The earlier Blazers had rocker boxes that stiffened the floors. I don't know what they look like, but I am pretty sure no one repops them. Bracing the rockers would be a pretty good idea, as my truck flexes pretty good going over bumps.

Thanks Jonboy.I wondered about the stiffer floor.I know the full-tops had boxed floors.I guess a roll cage would make it good`n`stiff. So you had a hard top on it and it fit ok?
