Voltage regulator question
Just put a new one in (it only took me two years to figure out the old one was not working) and it makes alot of noise. A buzzing sound not all the time but intermittently. Is this normal?

The buzzing sound is the points opening and closing which controls current to the field winding of the alternator.

It sounds like you have a problem as they don't normally make a lot of noise.
Make sure it is well grounded. Jim |
