tonneau cover help
As a graduation present I'm being given a cover because the one that's on there is a piece of crap. I want to get the Advantage Torza Top cover because it fits my needs the best but our trucks aren't listed in the fit list. Does anyone know a equivelent late model bed that is the same size as a 72 longbed? Also if anyone has a cover they really like please tell me about it and where I can look up some info on it. Thanks!

a company called checkmate makes a real nice fiberglass cover for our trucks for around $500. Google checkmate tonneau and im sure the website will pop right up.

Thanks, I'll consider it. I am looking for something that can be easily removed and stored and a fiberglass cover is hard to do that with.
EDIT: I should read before I post, I found the soft tonneaus. Does anyone know how much drilling is involved to mount the soft, hinged ones? Thanks for the link!

those beds are 2 or 3 inches wider than ours. If that was the case my life would be a lot easier. Thanks though.

I have a Checkmate on my '69. Really like it. But on my '01 GMC I bought a soft cover. It's the Extang Full Tilt. No drilling at all. It removes in a matter of seconds and is very light. Aluminum frame and canvas. I bought it directly from their web sight. They offered a discount and free shipping. I'm very happy about the purchase.

I found this one online, looks just like the one in LMC, it is about 100 cheaper, I will probably order it tomorrow.
http://www.4wheelonline.com/Products...ProductId=8727 How do these do with keeping water out? I want to protect some exposed metal in the bed and cant afford to paint right now.

Look at the Checker soft covers they are only 150-200 bucks compared to that one at 375. I was talking about the hard covers being $420 range.
Later...

Man that Price is strong, another 100 less for the checker. I wonder which one seals better against weather. I see the Tonneaumaster cover hangs over a bit more, which works for me since the rim of my bed has some holes and surface rust from other covers.
