Should I Cut?
Should i cut my factory 4x10 brackets to a say 6in speaker or to a 6x9 or should i go for a new replacement 4x10 say like this 4x10 on ebay ?

4x10's are garbage, dont waste your money on them. 6x9s are WAY better.

You can use the 4X10 brackets to mount a 6X9 if you swap them left to right. This gives you more room for the bigger magnets on the 6X9s.
A friend of mine did this, and was able to fit a Pioneer 6X9 pair with very large magnets. Slonaker |
