I'm pretty good at detailing, but right now I only touch up our VW. My truck is far from being detailed.
I generally wash the entire vehicle. That includes inside the fenders, tires, wheels, door and trunk sills, etc. Then I shamois that bad boy. I get every bit of water off. That includes out of the mirrors, and again the door and trunk sills. From there I vaccuum, and THEN clean the carpets, rubber and plastic (including wheels), and leather (you don't want vaccuum dust all over the inside of the car after you've done all that work). Then the windows. THEN I wax the car (again, the dust thing). I use mostly Maguires (sp?) products, one of those fuzzy wash mats, a shamois, a toothbrush and small shoe-shine brush for the wheels. The leather cleaning product I use is a two-part cleaner and conditioner. I don't remember the name but it comes in orange and brown spray bottles. DON'T USE ARMOR-ALL. I've found it actually maginfies UV and can age your dash and other plastics too quicly. Have fun.

No garage!
So I bet I can do pretty well in this area. For polished aluminum I use California Customs and I also use thier wax. The rest of the stuff I use comes from Walmart or the parts store.
