What did a C20 have for a orginal bumper?
I am fixing up my Custom Camper C 20 which includes a crate 350 motor..New mirrors..Grill..all chrome trim taken off and will paint it one color. Will have new wheels. When I bought the truck it didnt have any bumper in the rear. What kind of bumper did these have? I am not sure if I am going to get a smooth bumper with the cut out in the middle which I see on most 67-72 trucks that stays right against the body of the truck or the big chrome bumper that sticks out about 6 inches. The truck is mostly to take to shows and around town. Any info would be great.
Thanks. Truck69 |

The rear bumper was an option in those years, most camper specials had a sliding rear step bumper as the preferred option but most had a dealer installed step bumper with the dealer name welded or stamped on the face. It could also be ordered with painted or chrome sport bumpers.

Heres mine, but it was an option. I would guess that yours quite possible had the same since its a Camper special.
