Is it hard to go from 2wd to 4wd

I just got this c10 swb diesel that I am gonna make my new daily driver. This is my first 2wd truck but I bought it cause the price was right and its in superb shape. I would just prefer a 4x4 cause I go offroading a lot. I was thinkin about getting a k10 chassis and cutting all of the spring perches off and putting them on my truck. I have a set of 10 bolts and 33s lyin around so I have that covered. I just dont want to have to make too many mods cause it needs to be reliable daily driver. What do you think I should do?

Keep the 2wd as your daily driver and build up a 4x4 truck to play with offroad.

or body swap it, put your body on a K10 frame. too much work swapping a front axle under a 2wd frame. getting everything lined up 100% is a must, and doing so is VERY difficult.

ya, it would be a great project to get the 4x4 frame and redo the suspension bushings, axles, etc the way you want them, get everything all painted up and looking great, then drop your drivetrain and body in it... a lot of work, but a rewarding project.

How long do you think it would take to do a body swap? I do already have a dedicated 4x4 for offroading but I need a streetable 4x4 also for when I go play in construction sites and a few places around here that are street legal only. I guess I could throw a locker in the back and run it 2wd
