Eaton to 14 Bolt Swap?????
I'm want to change from an Eaton to a 14 Bolt rear. I am wondering if my driveshaft length will have to be adjusted. Does anyone know if the pinion yoke position is the same between these two units?

I have no exact measurements but I believe the pinion is lower and the yoke sticks out further than the eaton. I know the dana 60 pinion in my gmc sticks out further than the eaton pinion in my chevy.

Thanks for the input. I have a 60 core and it looks like the driveshaft would have to be shortened going from Eaton to a 60. I was hoping that the 14 bolt would be close enough to the Eaton that I would not have to jack with the driveshaft.

if i remember correctly when i did the swap, it shortened the driveshaft, i just ahd a machine shop cut the weld off and cut he tube then reweld the yoke on. spent like 15 bucks. i know for a fact that the 14 bolt pinion is alot farther away from the rear output that a dana 60 rear, i just did that swap like a month ago. my driveshaft still worked, but i had installed a longer tranny/tcase so yours might not.
