Will 285x60x17 fit my truck?
Looking at a good deal on wheels & tires if they will fit my truck. They are 285x60x17. Believe the backspacing is 4-1/2. I have a 71' C20. The wheels are about 100 miles away so it's not just a drive around the corner for a test fit. Thanks

They should fit. Approx 30" tall and probably mounted on 8" wide rims. I'm running 325/60R15 on 15x10 w/ 4" backspacing. Of course mines 4wd. I've heard of people running 31x10.5R16.5 on 2wd 3/4 ton trucks.

I have 31's 0n 15x8 with 4 inck b/s stock 71 1/2 ton suspension
I don't think you would have a problem that could not be easily cured.

It will be close...
I have 275/50/17's on a 9.5" rim and I barely have 3/4" clearence on the inside of the rear fenders. Mine is lowered 5" in the back. Personally, I think 285 may be to close if your going to lower it. If not, then go for it.

Dont know if this will help you out or not but i am running 285/70 15 on an 8 in wheel and i have plenty of room. And mine has coil springs that will make a difference also. Good Luck I just did the tire and wheel thing and I know how confussing and agrevating it can be.
