Angry ultimate frustration

went to a wrecking yard this morning, as i'm walking in past the holding area (where vehicles waiting for dmv clearance are kept) i see a 68 gmc right next to the chain link fence. i stopped to peek through the fence into the passenger side window and staring back at me is a speedwarning insturment cluster. i tried bribing one of the yard workers with some cash but he said i would have to talk to his boss-- who isn't there on weekends. he says it will probably be put out in the yard on tuesday or thursday,he wasn't sure which-- either way, i'll be at work. now i need to find a friend that isn't working next week to watch for it.
thanks for letting me vent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I really feel sorry for you guys living in a nearly rust-free zone where a 30 year old part is still like new as far as integrity. Maybe Ca. should have to spread salt on the roads everytime it rains just so they won't have an advantage over the rest of the country. Have to take that up with the treehuggers

smitty,
lol. treehuggers are plentiful out here, thats for sure. i've never been to an area that uses salt so i would probably not like the trucks i would see. we still have lots of trucks/parts to choose from out here, i'm sure the rustbelt folks would kick my a$$ if they could see sheetmetal that i pass on buying. i walked away from a 69-70 gmc today that had original paint and no rust in the front fenders but they had a small hole drilled on top of each fender and a couple small dings in the bottom below the molding. the grille was really straight also but had foglight brackets mounted on either side of the cross bar.
