GM 7-Pin HEI retrofit

Anyone know how to make a later model 7-pin HEI dist work in an older vehicle? I understand that the 7-pin setup has electronic timing control (ESC?) which seems kind of attractive to me. I'm wondering if there is a control module (aftermarket even) you can hook up to the dist and program advance curves and so forth?

How about some good sites to read about this?

Thanks

you can take the module out of that dist. and trigger a msd box with the magnetic pickup.
