Best new weatherstripping?

I want to buy a new set of window felts and door weatherstripping for my '68 but I want to know if there area any brands/vendors I should NOT use before I buy. There are a few vendors selling 8 and 10 piece kits on evil-bay for decent prices but I have no idea what I'm getting...

Advice?

Have you considered JC Witney? They've been around awhile so I figure they should have decent stuff and I think they are reasonably priced.

Try one of the vendors that help promote this board. I have bought from
Mothertruckers and GMC Paul and found both to be very good to deal with.

Chevy duty has been real good to me. My felts & door seals came from Ebay , they worked great.

Everyone I've ever talked to about weatherstripping quality says that SofSeal weatherstripping is the best, but I have yet to research whether SofSeal has our trucks covered. Nor have I had a chance to use their products. I have heard some say SofSeal is the most expensive, by far.

One of the problems with all the usually wonderful 67-72 vendors is that they don't list brand names on most parts they sell. In my parts ordering experiences, parts mfrs run the gamut from GM to off-brands, made-in-USA to made-in-Taiwan, exact mfr listed to no mfr listed, distributor listed to no distributor listed, etc. I've come to appreciate those vendors that can speak in detail to the actual source of the part. Of course, this info takes precious phone time, so I try to only ask on those items that are high cost or that I'm not yet familiar with.

It is www.soffseal.com also www.steelerubber.com But i would check with a vendor first.All the vendors I have talked to and bought from have always taken the time,without rushing to get You off the phone,to answer questions.

thx Mike, i use the board vendors, just sometimes like to see producers website.......btw ths LMC weatherstrip kits are not OEM quality..........

yea that's great thx, got me to thinking! but i'll end up hacking it off at the door post end in the back (on a blazer) and then i'll have to come up with a neat way of finishing off the raw end.........but that HD steel reinforced weatherstrip that presses on is much nicer than the flimsy rubber stuff i got new from you know who........my 69 had the steel-lined press-on stuff on it when i bot it, but i'm not sure that was the original weatherstripping, but it looked it.......so that is the stuff i'm looking for new......

Since I started this thread the search has come back online and I found out about the s-10 weatherstripping for the doors and I'm convinced I want to give that a try.

The thing I'm concerned about more is the quality of the felts, run channels, and dividers. I once ordered some for a Camaro I sold and the felt was very thin and the whole set was kind of flimsy and cheap.

I DEFINITELY will buy from a board member (thanks for those stainless sill plates, Paul--they look great) but I kind of wanted a review of the products from all you guys.

If you call up soffseal, they have a kit that is not listed on there website (for some reason) for the 67-72 trucks. Plus a few other nick-nak seals. I have their seals, but they are not installed yet. First overview, they seem to be of excellent quality.
