not that i ever would/could... but i a curious as to your guys' opinions on what my truck is worth. its a 71 K5 with about 80,000 miles. got a 454 with the goodies around the 400 horse mark. 4 speed, 14 bolt, dana 60, 4 inch lift with 33" swampers, double wall top, no rust at all, new paint by me ( not perfect but pretty good), body is straight, little bit of bondo but nothing to worry about, shaved molding, emblems, factory seats - drivers seat needs re-done, roll bar (not original)... any more info you guys need just ask. I will have pics up in a couple minutes.

I hate putting a price on another guys truck, but if I had to guess... your truck is worth in the $6000-8000 range.

I hate to put prices on other peoples stuff too... but in this case im looking for it! objective critisizm and all. come on guys lmk what you think! the reason it doesnt bother me is becuase this truck has been in my family since day one. my dad bought it new in early 1972. it had sat at the local dealership for over a year. i cant imagine no one wanting a factory four speed blazer, but oh well. hehe it will never go anywhere god willing. let me know guys! thankx dtilly for your input!

At least what Don quotes, might even break 10K.
Insure it for at least 16K and you'll be all set.

Who did the big block swap?

True worth? Priceless cause your dad bought it new.

That is a tough ass truck. Lot's of nice goodies I wish my truck had. Your ready for some big tires with that setup.

I would guess you could get 7K al day long...for someone who really wants it and is looking for one...yer pushin 10K.

Very nice K5! I would like to see pics of the engine/firewall area. Always interested in seeing what other people did to make a bb fit.

I've seen this Blazer in person (I bought a swing away tire carrier from him a few years back). It is in nice shape and looks tough. I'd guess in the $6000-8000 range also.

Is the truck in AZ or WA? Ya might get more out of it in WA because you won't be competing with all the "rust free" trucks in AZ.

awesome blazer, I have been searching for almost exactly that setup (4 speed and 1 ton running gear). Not a huge fan of white, but it looks like you threw a pretty nice coat on that rig. If you are ever looking to loan it out to a new family, drop me a line, I would be willing to make the trip to your place from MI!

All the work that has been done to this has been done by me and my father. i know its priceless to me. i could/would never sell it. thanx for the good comments guys. as for being ready for bigger tires... thats exactly what i was going for. I wanted to get everything else out of the way before i bought big lift and tires, so i wouldnt have anything to worry about.
then i moved to az for school and it sits at home in washington in the garage :-(. the big block swap was nothing major... had to clearence the firewall on the drivers side a little bit...(BFH), and modify the z bar for the clutch ( though i want to go hydraulic). that was it. no moving x-members, no major surgery at all. its got headers on it. they are SUPER close but dont seem to be interfeering at all.

I would be more then happy to snap pics of whatever you guys like....but... hehe im 1400 miles away from it. sorry guys

Sounds like a good reason for a road trip. Anyway, next time your home, if you think about it, shoot some more engine pics. Bet you hate having it so far away.

When you do lift it don't use blocks in the rear, well I wouldn't. The 14bolt is heavy and your BBC will S-shape your springs if you use blocks = massive wheel hop. you probly knew that but I just wanted to say it anyway

yeah I know blocks are the ghetto way to do it. thats whats in there now is 4 inch blocks and i hate it. I was actually pondering the idea of doing a 4 link/coilover suspension. to get it WAY up there to clear some massive tires, but im not sure yet, that would involve butchering up the frame pretty badly, and not to sure if i wanna do that or not.
