It never ends.

Got my fuel problems fixed and now the radiator is leaking. Its already been repaired once and the guy said it would probably be the last. Any suggestions as to where to get a good one cheap? Thanks, Jeff.

I got my new one through local radiator shop, but I think most auto parts stores can get them. I got mine for not much more than what it would have cost to repair the old clogged up radiator (and there was no guarantee that the repair would solve the problem).

When you come for the tranny/transfer case. I'll hook you up with good used one for $20. I just pulled one out of a 78 K5. The lower neck won't be tipped at a 45 degree angle but that's not a big problem. If it's trash, I'll send a refund. Do you have an automatic trans. or standard? I can drop it off to get it flushed and pressure checked, for an extra $20. Atleast that's what they wanted last time I did it.

LeRoy that sounds great. I have an automatic tranny. The neck angle shouldn't matter much. Go ahead and have it flushed and I'll pick it up that day. Just need some directions to your place. Jeff.

Just read it. Shouldn't have too much trouble finding it. The only trouble we will have is getting the thing in the Suburban. My truck won't be ready to come up there without the radiator.

Ha! If I were sure I'd get home with it, I'd do that. I just don't have much trust in it these days. Seems like every time I turn around something else is broken.

Red71cheyenne, how are you liking Bremerton so far?

When I had to replace my Radiator I picked up a lifetime warranty radiator for a really good price. Now Schucks/Kraggen/Checker bought the company out they have to stick by the warranty.

I know there are some cheap shops around there and if you go to Westbay auto parts they should carry a radiator for out trucks. Plus if you say this is "Fleet 6" they will give you a "preferred customer discount". It isn't a very big discount, but a little is better than nothing. I hope you get your problems solved.

chaptr2, not too sure I care for the weather on this side of the country. I'm used to unbearable heat and humidity with A/C. The climate is nice, I just wish it didn't rain so much. Can't complain right now though, the last 2 weeks have been beautiful. The reason I'm not getting a new one right now is $$$. I get a military discount so that helps, but on as big a purchase as this, its not enough. I'll go with the used one that LeRoy has for right now and put off a new one til next year maybe. The one thats in it right now has been repaired several times and isn't original either. Sometime all of us that live around here should get together. Jeff.

I wouldn't mind getting together. I live only about 30 or minutes from you. I bought my stepside in Bremerton, so not far at all. Maybe we can grab a beer sometime. Keep in touch....Chaptr2
