3 or 4 core radiator?
Hello,
Right now I have a 2 core in my 67. Will a 4 core fit right in or do you need special brackets for it to fit? Will a 3 core drop right in? Thanks.........Lumpy

This may or may not answer your question.....my truck originally had a 3 core and when I installed a 4 core I had to replace the top brackets only. The brackets are fairly cheap.....around $10 if I remember right.

I think the brackets are diffrent. I tried to upgrade the radiator in my 72 GMC Automatic trans. from a 2 core to a 4. Didn't fit on the bottom, even with larger 4 core brackets on the top. The brackets on the bottom of your 67 will need to be drilled out (they are sort of spot welded in) and a wider set installed if you wish to install a 4 core.
You should be able to drop in a 3 core no problem. You don't really need a 4 core anyways unless you live in Arazona, have AC, and tow a trailer. You could have the parts house get you a 4 core. Just tell them up front that it may not fit, and you may need to bring it back and exchange it for a 3 core. The part that frustrated me was the 4 core was only somthing like $20 more or somthing, and it wouldn't fit! Good luck! Darren

2 and 3 core radiator supports are the same. 4 core supports are larger. We have both sizes in stock along with the pads. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
