81-87 Front Rollpan pics?
Hi guys,
Just curious if anyone has pics of a front rollpan setup on an 81-87 style truck and what the overall conensus is on how it looks ont he truck? My opinion is if the truck has a front bumper it should have a rear one also, But I like the rear rollpans ALOT on these trucks, they really clean up the rearend. So I am considering a front and rear smoothie style rollpan, however I have yet to see one that I was really happy with? Any pics? Any ideas? Thanks in advanced. John |

Here's a couple pics of LOHRTBT's truck with a molded front bumber. (LOHRTBT - Sorry 'bout your loss.) Another gentleman (Aussie?) who use to frequent this board had custom made his molded bumber. His web site escapes me. But, if I can remember it, I'll post it.

p.s. im still tryin to figure out what i want to do on my shortbed crewcab front end, trying to find another front end i can graft into it for a totally diff look. the simplistic overall shape and body styling makes that a bit difficult.

ive seen that blazer before and i can admire the amount of work someone obviously put into that truck. they did a great job. looks awesome. but thats a little more wild then id like to go with mine, but im looking for somethin to that effect. preferably somethin that doesnt deviate so greatly from the original lines but just changes the front end look a little. there arent many options out there for these front ends and ive seen one too many suburban clips.

milehi...
Here's a couple more pics of LOHRTBT's truck. I agree with you, I think the phantom grille, although cool, kinda takes away from the front end. Kinda makes it look 'one dimensional'. (These trucks need help to retain more of a three-dimension look.) Factory grille surrounds with some custom inserts would look cool. Below is another idea for front end treatment; one of Hill's creation with a recessed, smoothed front bumber.
