Removing 77 cab trim?
Another new guy to the board here. I hope I've found the right place because I'll have a dozen questions.
Can someone clue me in on how to remove the trim around the back of the cab? I want to take it off a junker to reinstall it on a driver I'm putting together. |

umm there are some nuts on the inside of the cab for the corner pieces and then the long rear peice slides off left to right, or vice versa

There ain't much left of this 77 but the cab trim band will, soon enough I hope, be on a 79.
I went out to the back 40 and felt the stud inside the cab. I'll have to dig out a 5/16th (I think) deep well socket and see if I can get this trim band off, without damaging it, in the morning. Thanks for the tip. I should have figured it out myself as it's pretty self evident once a guy knows the stud is there and is not necessarily having a "senior" brain freeze moment. |
