Would there be any interest in a headlight reminder?
I'm going to install a headlight reminder in my truck soon, but was wondering if there were any other people interested in a simple buzzer that clips on to the fuse panel to remind you that the headlights are on with the ignition off. Most likely around $12 or so with shipping. If there is interest I will order some parts. Greg

LMC currently sells one, but I'm not sure of the price. If the install was basic and the buzzer wasn't too annoying, I might be interested.

You can get them at any parts store or even wall mart. Hook up is easy, one wire to your dash light fuse, and one wire to the heater or radio fuse...that's it.

Kmart sold one about 10 years ago, I bought a couple. In the last week I've been to Kmart, Walmart, AutoZone, Advance......found none. Found the same buzzer at Radio Shack for just under $4, but can't get the connectors for the fuses locally, they have to be ordered online. Yes, it's simple to hook up (2 wires) after you have the parts. I will get the stuff to make a few, anybody that want's one can e-mail or PM me. Greg

I'd be willing to take the chance on that. My first show last week I had a guy tell me he would spare me the embarrasment of leaving my lights on. I told him he could have at least waited til I got out of my trucl! LOL.

I never knew anyone sold such a thing. I'm a firm believer in driving with lights on, but I'm kinda spoiled from driving cars with the feature built in. Once I start driving my truck regularly ( maybe this weekend ) I'm sure I'd eventually forget to turn them off.

That info might help somehow, But I can't find any more info on the net. I've bought them myself for about $3 years ago, but can't even find them now. Most cars have this from the factory since the mid 80's, so 3M might think they're not needed now. Greg

I contacted 3M, they don't make them anymore. I'll sell a couple at $12 total (in padded envelope) and see how it goes. PM or email me. Greg

Better yet, do a timer relay to shut off the lights... no need for a reminder if they turn themselves off. Lots of modern cars have these, so just do some junkyard skulking for the module.

I have a few ready to go...I can get more. I will lower the price slightly also. Send M.O. or paypal for $10 total for each buzzer, include your address and let me know if you have round glass fuses or later style blade type fuses (can do either). Package will include simple instructions.
Greg Bratton 2856 Springvalley Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29730 or paypal to gbratton@peoplepc.com Thanks, Greg
