new here!
hello...i am new and have an extremely solid 72 gmc suburban i am transplanting a late gen3 motor and trans into ...i have looked at yalls rides and i must say its nice to be around fellow suburban lovers. i am also wondering if i might get a few links or leads for sububan only parts.
i am needing the rear "gmc" emblem on the back barn door, and a third seat in blue. this thing used to be an ambulance, and was extremely well taken care of, not to mention garaged in central texas(not a single rust bubble in,on, or under the entire truck)--ill try to get some pics as i do the swap if anyone is interested, and also if anyone at all has done or knows anyone who has done a swap like this, i would appreciate all input! |

welcome to the board from East Tennessee, somebody on this website has done a similar swap, i've seen a old truck on ebay for sale with that setup, i'm sure the folks at painless wiring harnesses could handle the wiring issues and the rest should be some fuel delivery quirks that could be tackled by buying an aftermarket fuel cell with a built in high pressure pump.
good Luck! |

yep-thats my (new) suburban...you can still see on the door where it was painted "canyon lake volunteer fire department ems", and those are just some junk wheels and tires to roll it around...this one is getting a gen 3 motor, trans, and rear end.
22's and just a back white simple paint job...as the only body work the entire truck needs other than surface rust is the antenna holes filled and one dent on the lt 1/4 about as big as a golf ball...trust me...i have scoured this thing for hours and i cant find any dents...and i find dents for a living!!!---and to answer any for sale questions....................................NO! |

Those GMC tags on the TG are hard to find. I got one by luck for about 40.00 delivered by a board member. There are more you just need to open a new post with the request and wait around. Then never put it on your truck as everyone I have ever seen is broken because someone tries to steal them~!
