On how I miss the sound of an 8-track.Miss the music they played, too.Hearing the two together would be nostalgic bliss. That and $2 six-packs,Landlubbers,and the teeny-boppers that wore them.

I like Conway Twitty. Got 3 cds of his music. His early stuff is a little too dated but the later stuff like "Daddy" is great.

Cool 8-track find. Think an 8 track would be nice in our trucks. I was looking at early cassette stuff. 1st gen Pioneer Supertuners...

100% Sure Rolling Stones

Almost CERTAIN Sticky Fingers is the name of the album. Funny part is, I have that EXACT 8-track in the attic, and if it wasn't 95 degrees outside (probably 120+ in the attic) I would dig it out. I knew there was a reason I hung on to those 8-tracks ALL THESE YEARS. This is fun. The biggest downside of 8-tracks is the glue that they use to bond the ends of the one continuous piece of tape degrades after so many years, so you will have some casualties as you play them. I hope you enjoy your little piece of history. Take care, Mike

Now I see the pics. thanks! That looks almost like the later factory am/fm 8-tracks I've seen on ebay. Some guy is selling NOS AM FM 8 tracks for $49 (buy it now) but the face looks larger than the truck opening. So far over two weeks and the under dash unit I won has not arrived . Went to Goodwill and no home 8 track players. My neighbor has a working one somewhere deep in his garage, but he still hasn't found it.

HotRod: If I hear Mick Jaggers voice when I get a working player, then I'll know 100% also.

Looks real close to the later style factory am/fm 8 tracks. May be able to find one of those in a salvage yard or look for the Sanyo model FT 1877 am/fm 8 track unit. I found one almost identical to it except in a cassette am/fm. Don't recall the model number, I'm at work right now. Anyone wanting the cassette model #, post and I can look when I get home.
