Inner fender removal question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

On top of the right inner fender theres a hole right thru..due to the battery leak right above it and probably old age. I was going to take the fender right off during winter and have it repaired. Its there just a couple bolts I need to take out for it to drop down and out? The rest of the fender is solid. Any info would be great.

Take the tire of on that side. There are several bolts along the lip of th wheel well, two or three at the front of the inner fender two or three at the rear. One at the top and a ground strap or two. Fairly easy as long as all the clips aren't rusted thru, then it gets interesting.

It would be better to just buy a new one rather than trying to repair it. I paid arround $80 at classic trucks.

You can find new ones (inner fenders) at car shows for around $40. I have found several.
