Speedometer Question
I got a 1968 Chevy C10. The transmission is a turbo 350. I replaced the old speedometer cable and now when I drive, the speedometer isn't very stable. I have re-tighten the cable, but it doesn't seem to do any good. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to steady the speedometer needle.

stable? is it jumping. usually you can pull out the wire inside the cable, clean it, and grease it when putting the wire back in. works well

The needle is very jumpy. I will give that a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the help

I had the same problem with my 68. I bought a new cable and sprayed it but ended up having to replace the speedo.
