So I was looking at the heart of my gas hog and saw that my ramhorn had a pretty good sized crack in it, no flames shoot out

and i can't feel any air going through there, but who wants a crack in their exhaust...nice wording huh?. So guess it is time for some new manifolds.

So I'm pretty broke and done want to spend that much and since i have to replace them i figure i best be getting some headers.

I was wondering what has worked or not worked for you guys.
What brand leaks or gives the mose problems...ect

I'm looking at these...

from Flow tech cause they are fairly cheap and i dont know why...
From Summit part number: BIG-11500FLT

Almost any input would be awesome, I say "almost any" in case there are any smart asses like me out there that tell me to blow it out my tail pipe or something...

Those headers have small primary tubes and small 5/16 flanges. Ive never used them but I know that I want bigger primary tubes (atleast 1 5/8) and 3/8 flanges. Also, if your interested in them staying looking good the only thing to buy is stainless or coated headers. They are alot more money up front , but stay looking good a lot longer. It doesnt matter what you paint headers with, they never stay looking good.

I went with the HEDMAN headers and have not had a problem for 4yrs. yes it is an everyday driver.Plus they were only $110. from Summit back in the day.

I've got a set of those on my truck. Leak all the d&?# time. I got some copper gaskets to seal the upper flange at the head, but the collecters won't stop leaking. I know you said you were on a budget, but spend the dough now for good stuff. Save yourself trouble down the road. Hedman are real good for the money.

I'd think you would be happy spending your money on another manifold. They are less prone to leaking.

I prefer headers...but this is one area where if you don't have the cash to spend, you are better off going without.
If you get some cheap headers, you'll swear them off for the rest of your life.
Personally, i loved my old hooker comps.
