Put a new (to me) center chunk in my HO72 4.10's from 5.14's won't be quite the stump puller it used to be but I never pulled any stumps with it anyway.

At least I will be able to approach 70 on the freeway now.

I got my carpet mostly installed...
Still have some trimming and hole finding to do

I also refinished my instrument panel. I have a bit of touch up left to do and need to brush the lettering on the raised labels. BTW: Are those appliques courtesy of a PO or was there some kind of bicentenial edition or such crap (in Virginia, perhaps?) that is behind these little plaques. (They are plastic and right hard bonded on... so I'm stuck with them either way.)

Lastly... just getting some stuff ready to reassemble the interior.

Most importantly -- I got to spend a good deal of time with my kids.. we went to "Railway Days" out here at the old Martinsburg roundhouse.

Helping Mom look at Condo's and waiting on the car hauler to deliver my truck. Drank a lot of beer and went to the firing range with some guys from work (Not at the same time, although I can't think of anything more American than beer and guns!)

I started on my 71 Jimmy to 68 Blazer conversion. The PO fubarred the GMC grille and hood, and I had some 68 Chevy parts around. The hood and grille get out of the paint ship tomorrow. I wasn't sure that I would be able to get the core support out with the fenders on but it was easy. Just removed the radiator, shroud, and fan so I could lay the core support down, and pulled it out.

Well I got the brakes set up on my buggy. I had to put the power booster and master on the passinger side and build a bell crank from the fabbed pedal to the booster. It took me part of yesterday and all today but I like the way it turned out.

I've been doing an engine swap.

Going from a inline 6 with a 3 speed manual to a 350 engine & TH350 trans.

See my avitar.

All I got to do to fire it up is:
trans cooler lines,
trans vacumm line,
exhaust,
hook up the battery terminals,
then fire that 350.

I know my truck is not a '67-'72, but the engine I dropped in is a '72 350.

Tomorrow i'm finishing her up (hopefully), i'm getting those not driving my truck withdrawls.

friday night i pull the motor out of the '67and unbolted the cab. sat. morning i went to the swap meet in ft.worth and that afternoon removed the cab and power washed the frame and bottom of cab,replaced cab mount bushings and put the cab back on. sunday i cleaned up the shop and watched me some nascar.

I just sold my other frame with the narrowed rear half. I had my new 71 frame blasted and powder coated. Reassembled the new frame with an ECE 4-6 drop kit and Extreme Drop Center Crossmember. New bushings, ball joints, lowered front sway bar brackets, and with super track bar kit (not installed yet). I just have to install the stainless steel brake lines, blazer tank, motor, transmission and I will be ready to move on to the body work on the cab and bed.
