1988 Crew Cab Dually 4Spd Manual to TH400 Conversion?

Hi Guys,

I have a 1988 Older Box Style 454 Crew Cab Dually. 454 TBI injection with manual 4 Speed. What do I need to convert to automatic?

As far as tranny interchangeability do I need a TH400 long tail or short tail? Looking to sue original mounts and driveshaft?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
John

the frame should have the bolt holes in it for the location with the auto. The front shaft will have to be redone to fit the auto. Then a switch for the passing gear for the tranny on the gas pedal. I have done this a few times for guys in my area, went to manual tranny in my truck of same vintage.
