Just installed the worst trim pieces on my truck!!!
If you have changed them, then you know it is those cussed TL & TG bezels...especially if you have had the housings out of the bed. You have to adjust the housings so the lens will center and clear the alum bezels when you push all those clips into their holes at the same time. ...and if you are off and have to remove a bezel, it is trashed.
I started with repros and then switched to NOS to see if they were any better. NOT...I actually had to work the rough edges on the NOS with a belt sander, to get them to fit...and the edges were rolled over so far that the clips would not slide under. After I finally got them on I took the rest of the day off!!! Next time I am welding up the holes! |

Nice color, looks a little different than when I saw it. At least you got the parts, so when you mangle one peice, you just have to go to the shelf and grab another.
Off topic, Im going to PM you about the bedwood we had talked about when I was at your shop in March. Later, Darren

there are good days and there are not so good days. take a break, have a cool drink, kick your dog, hug your wife, scream at your truck. she will understand and your truck won't care.
Hey are your tailpipe tips the same diameter?

did you get that truck from Wes? Looks like one of his. Yes, because I don't have any trucks or parts here.
Bill...nice color choice. I pulled the housings out to paint the truck and that created a lot of extra alignment work. That and I was really careful with the new paint. |

Been there too. The worst experience I had was the lower door molding. The front butterfly clip was a btch getting the nut on. It is just behind the hinge. I used a surgical clamp (aquired in my youth) and spent about an hour on my back. The top ones I taped the nut to my finger since thats all I could get in there.

AK1972....ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frank nice job and that looks beautiful! Next time shave'm and then have them painted on...I love that! It always surprises the heck out of me whenever I see a good "trim" paint job. I think it is probably the same amount of work.
