Where do you look when shopping for a 67-72?
Just curious where everybody looks when they are in the market for a truck?. I'm trying to sell my 71' locally and have had a few tire kickers but nobody serious. I'm thinking about trying different local papers or maybe online but want to advertise somewhere worthwhile due to costs. Ebay seems to be a hassle when selling cars due to a million emails from bored people!. I really want to sell this truck because we are thinking about moving and I'm going to need all the money I can get. Maybe collectorcartraderonline???

I bought my truck on Ebay, and I sell alot of old car parts there as well. If you put a thourough description in your listing, it helps cut down on the questions. There are a lot of trucks for sale on this board, have you tried that? I wish I had known about this place when I was shopping! Hot August Nights is coming up in Reno, Nevada. They have a huge auction, and alot of fantastic rides to drool over. Take some vacation time and do a road trip.
Good Luck, Al

Yeah, I have to agree with Al. I just sold my 56 Bel Air on Ebay and bought another truck off Ebay as well. It is not a bad place to start when you think of the worldwide exposure your getting. If that doesn't work then you could go with the classic car listings like traderonline. Just a thought.

Thanks guys. I already have it on the "trucks for sale" forum. I think I'll try the major news paper here this week and then traderonline.

Put a sign in the window and go to a few car shows...it will sell, and it will be inexpensive.

I frequent gun shows a lot out here in AZ and I always say: "The best deals are in the parking lot". I watch locally for good deals on trucks cuz I find the sellers in trader mags want way too much $$ for a given truck. I bought my '70 short fleet at a local dealer wholesale lot for $1400 in the mid 90's. I think the better educated your buying audience the better for you. Guys here on this forum KNOW how much work it is to put a truck into a particular condition and they see the actual cost of parts and accessories for a given truck. That and you'll find a good home for it!
Keep a sign in the window and park it in a high traffic area where its visible and safe. Good luck! H.
