cab mount bolts?

going to replace my cab mount rubber bushings,was wonderin if the nut of the bolt is accessible from bottom or from floor pan inside cab.thanks!

Hey. You can access the nut from underneath the truck. But when they put the bolts in the floor at the factory they welded a small spot to keep it from turning. Therefor it is hard to remove the bolt. You could remove the bolt by grinding the weld off. That would be easier than lifting the whole cab up.
The rear bolts just thread up into the cab. There is a nut inside a cage behind the gastank that will not come out. It moves a little, but stays there and the bolt should come out easy.

CAB MOUNTS

I took a dremel tool with one of those flat cutting wheels(removed the nut first) and cut the weld just in front of the where the bolt is welded to the pan. I then tapped out the bolt. To install the new bolt, ground the one flat on the bolt head that is going to be seated where you cut the weld. You need to grind a little at a time til you get it to match. Once you get it to match, it should fit right in place and should be able to torgue down the bolt without it turning. Be sure to where safety glasses when using those little grinding wheels because they won't take any sideloading and will fly into pieces if your not meticulous with them.

That is weird when I pulled my cabthe 1st time it was not welded and we are the original owners . So i know they have never been touched..................Hmmmmmmmmmmm
