Ok, so I am soooo new to the truck scene I don't know the difference between the C2500 and K2500. Whats the C mean and whats the K mean?
I have a 1970 GMC 3/4 ton, thats all I know,, I'm trying to order a LMC catalog and don't even know what I have.
Thanks for you for your kind and patient replies

To make it even more confusing, the pickups (67-72) never had a K emblem. My '69 K10 has a C/10 emblem. Just stupid badging. The important thing is that in the vin, the first letter will be a C or a K depending on if it's four wheel drive or not, except in '72 where they added a second C at the beginning of the vin (CCXXX... and CKXXX instead of CXXX and KXXX).

Lots of silly things, but if someone says they have a K-something, it's four wheel drive. Check my sig for examples.

My VIN has a C, yet my truck is a K! Though, I may have had something to do with that little bug :P

Aloha bruddah. Glad to see someone from the islands on the boards. Very good info here. Looks like you got a real solid truck there. Hope to see you at one of the cruise nights.

Welcome to our distant family! I would like to suggest getting the LMC catalog only as a reference. there are board vendors and other persons that have better prices, better quality, and original parts that will aid you on your restoration. All you need to do is post on the parts board of something you want, and people from all over will offer you what they have for sale. My preferance is the rust free original parts! Good luck with the project, and hope to see you here daily!

Well, I was referring to 67-72. Don't know squat about other year's vins. If you had a 67-72 four wheel drive without a K in the vin, then either the vin doesn't belong to the frame, or it's been converted to four wheel drive.

Its the same with the 73-87s, K5 for all Blazers/Jimmies, C for 2wd and K for 4x4

I converted my truck over to 4x4 So its technically a K25, but has a C25 vin
