Small Tank?
My needle goes from full to empty and when I fill it; it only takes 15 gal!!! I've watched carefully to be sure the needle is sweeping fully across the gauge and it goes from past the F to burried in the E and still it only takes 15. I thought these tanks were more like 25 or 27 gal? If the float arm was bent, I would think it wouldn't reach one end or the other on the gauge. Maybe the sending unit was replaced with the wrong ohmage? ...or did some of these have 15 gallon tanks?

When my needle hits the empty mark it takes 15 gallons to fill. If I drive another 50-75 miles it will usually take 20 gallons. The factory tank is 20-21 gallons plus a little more in the filler neck.

i agree, my truck has a 21 gallon tank and i have even pursued trying to find a larger capacity tank aftermarket and none seems to be available. when you have 4.56 gears offroading is limited to about 100 or so miles unless you carry reserve fuel in gas cans

Wow my burb holds somewhere like 40 gal. everything in the vehicle is stock but was custom ordered with lots of extras and the gauge works great. I will have to fill it soon again. I will let you all know for sure how much it takes.
