gear ratios

what gear ratios usally came with the small block v-8 granny low 4-speed combos? i have a 70 parts truck with a good rear end and the glove box says limited slip.so i was just wondering if it might be a 3.08 ratio or if it would be more like a 3.73. i quess i don't want to lay out in the dirt and pull the cover.
thanks john

the stock is 3.73 i believe, but you could have up to 4.10's. but if you had 4.10s i think it would say on the sticker in teh glove box

your gear set was chainged later on. 3.73 is standard with the 4 speed, and the option list would have mentioned 3.07 gears if so optioned. Also the fact that you could not get 3.07 with posi also confirms yours is not stock. (esp if you actually have a 3.08....that was never offered in the trucks of this generation)

i looked for the build sheet but i couldn't find it under the seat springs.
