I finally, finally, have something to contribute to the "what you got done this weekend" thread......only 99 more yards to go for a touchdown.....stripped and painted the frame with 2qts. of Eastwood Rust Encapsulator.

But...there is a silver lining. At work (bus garage) they had one of just about every type of hub nut socket you could imagine, to use on all of the old vehicles with FF axles the school no longer owned. Since school districts can waste money like no other, one of the treasurer's lackeys came by and told us to throw everything away we didn't need to "clean the place up."
So I made out with a collection of 20 some odd hub nut sockets in every shape and size imaginable, from 3/4 ton Dana & GM stuff to 15k axles from under Chevy C60's. Most are Snap-On or OTC. They even had the correct ones to work on my Eaton axle and D60 front. So, I was pleased.
I also made out with a huge pile of angle iron and c-channel (why not? scrap prices are high) as well as some old school lockers, an office chair, and a few other odds and ends. Woo hoo!

So on Friday I took the drums and backing plates off of my H052 in preparation for disc brakes. I test fitted the 14 bolt shafts and everything looks good so far.

Stripped and painted the dash, painted the outside bezel of the instrument cluster, installed most of the dash components, and discovered that my TH350 is low on fluid (just rebuilt)......
