painted or not

Would you rather buy a project truck 67-72 painted or not painted. My vote would be not painted so for one your not driving someone elses vehicle around and for two you can paint it whatever color you want, and it would be yours.

i think it is wrong to buy a pickup that someone else has been working on. get one that needs restored, notone thats half done. thats my opinion. i hate seeing people at shows that dont know anything about there pickup or car becasue they didnt build it. just my opinon, Ben

Ben i must agree with you there, although i did get mine in a trade from my brother-in-law.He already had it painted and almost done.Even though i love the truck it just doesnt feel like it is my truck seeing he did most of the work to it ya know.I have even thought about selling the truck back to him just for that reason. He told me he has about 5 years invested in it.I cant wait to get one that i can fix myself . Maybe someday i can find a 71 or 72 air cab 2x4 to do the way i would like, whos knows anyone up for a trade for a 86 4x4 burb................lol

Even though out of the 3 I have had, I prefer getting one with original paint. No tonly can you do it up the way you like, you KNOW what you are starting with.
My first Longhorn seemed to be a real clean truck, but i later discovered it was just a real good job with the bondo.

Paint? what's that? I would have settled for having rockers on my truck! Besides, thinking of colors, schemes, and overall effect that you want is half the fun!
